My son Tony and I are still giddy with excitement about our experience at the Michael McDonald / NSO concert. While I have been a devoted fan of Mr. McDonald's for decades, both my son and I are now also fans of conductor Albert-George Schram. The NSO sounded spectacular as they opened with the Star- Spangled Banner. Mr. Schram was delightful and full of personality during performances as well as during his introduction of selections. Having visited the Schermerhorn on several occasions, I was skeptical about a concert at the Allen Arena. However, the venue worked well and the entire concert was breathtaking. This experience far exceeded my expectations - a rare and wonderful treat! As for Michael McDonald, there really are no words to describe his amazing his voice, musicianship and stage presence. Seeing him perform in this concert really was a dream come true. Great job, everyone!
